What if there are
abnormal pH values
in my cat’s urine?

If your cat’s urine pH is low or acidic it may be caused by calcium oxalate stones (one of the most common bladder stones found in cats that can cause inflammation or blockages), metabolic acidosis (that occurs when the level of acid in cat’s body is too high), high meat diet or medication. If you cat’s urine pH is high or Alkaline it may be caused by struvite stones (making up about of 40% bladder stones incidences), FLUTD (feline lower urinary tract disease), urinary tract infections (UTI), high vegetable diet or timing of urination (if cats urinate right after consuming a meal, for example, their pH may also be more akaline).
